This policy explains what the GEO Lens Chrome extension reads, stores, and does not collect.

Single Purpose

GEO Lens helps users audit the currently viewed web page for AI-search citation readiness, answerability, entity clarity, technical access, and citation-gap opportunities. The extension provides local page diagnostics and exportable evidence for content improvement.

Data the Extension Reads

When the user opens GEO Lens on a page, the extension may read website content from the active page, including visible text, headings, metadata, links, schema markup, robots.txt, and llms.txt signals. This information is used to generate the audit report shown to the user.

Data Stored Locally

GEO Lens may store the user's entered brand name in the user's local browser storage. This keeps the brand field available for future audits. This data remains on the user's device unless the user copies or shares it.

Data Not Collected

GEO Lens does not collect personally identifiable information, health information, financial or payment information, authentication information, personal communications, location data, full browsing history, or user activity tracking data.

No Sale or Sharing of Data

GEO Lens does not sell user data. GEO Lens does not share user data with advertisers, data brokers, analytics vendors, or third-party marketing services.

Network Requests

GEO Lens does not send audit data to an external server. The extension may request public page-adjacent files, such as robots.txt or llms.txt, from the website currently being audited. These requests are used as data signals for the audit and are not used to load or execute remote code.

Clipboard Access

GEO Lens writes to the clipboard only when the user clicks the copy report control. This is used to copy the generated markdown audit report so the user can paste it into a document, ticket, brief, or client report.

Remote Code

GEO Lens does not load or execute remotely hosted code. All extension JavaScript, HTML, CSS, icons, and assets are packaged with the extension.
